Beulah F. Kern, 101, of 404 Main St., Slatington died Monday in Palmerton Hospital. She was a bookkeeper for Kern's Feed and Grain, Slatington, for many years. Born in Slatington, she was a daughter of the late Alfred J. and Fietta (Snyder) Kern. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Slatington. During Slatington's 125th anniversary in August 1989, she was given the "Keys to Slatington," was Queen of the 125th Grand Ball and grand marshal of the borough's anniversary parade. She was the oldest citizen in Slatington. Survivors: Grandniece and grandnephew. Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. 2nd St., Slatington. Call 10-11 a.m. Saturday.
