Funeral Services For Mrs. Albert H. Peters Held Monday, Sept. 22

Funeral services for Mrs. Albert H. Peters, 72, were held at 9:30 a.m. Monday in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with the Rev. Alphonse Lisko officiating. Music was by the St. Mary’s Junior choir.

Pallbearers were five grandsons, Paul, Donald, Billy and Tommy Peters, Duane Cermak and a nephew, Jack Knott. Burial was in St. Mary’s cemetery.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Graf, Mrs. Peters was born Dec. 20, 1879 at Iowa City, Ia. She died suddenly from a heart attack early Friday morning, Sept. 19 at her home in David City.

On Jan. 10 1899, she was married in St. Mary’s Church at David City to Albert H. Peters. They were the parents of nine children. Surviving are: daughters, Mrs. Margaret Vanderzanden, Veronia, Ore.; Mrs. Francis Freeman, Schuyler; Mrs. Irene Cidlik, Joy, Mo.; Mrs. Alice Speice, Columbus, Nebr.; Mrs. Carl Schulz, Lakewood, Colo.; Mrs. Marie Cermak and Miss Irma Peters, David City; a son, Jack Peters, also of David City. All were in attendance at the funeral services.

She was preceded in death by her husband on Feb. 12, 1951; a son, Clarence, two brothers and four sisters.
Other survivors include a sister, Mrs. Theodore Knott of Kearney, 22 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Mrs. Peters was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic church and the St. Mary’s Altar Society which attended the funeral services in a body.

Those from out-of-town attending the services were: Mr. and Mrs. Joe Vanderzanden, Veronia, Ore.; Mr. and Mrs. Ben Meiwes and son of Oakridge, Ore.; Gus Speice and Polly, Columbus; Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Zegars, Elgin; Mrs. Joe Pelley, Petersburg; Bill and Bernard Rubenthaler and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lindberg, Gothenburg; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Richter, Kearney; Mrs. Margaret Peters and family, Bellwood; Patty and Irma Freeman, Schuyler.
