Henry Buchta, 83, of Nerstrand died Saturday, May 7, in Rice County District One Hospital. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Nerstrand Methodist Church with the Rev. Orville R. Zimmerman officiating. Interment will be in Evangelical Cemetery, rural Nerstrand. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday in Boldt Funeral Home and Wednesday one hour prior to the service in the church. Henry Buchta, the son of Lawrence and Emma Olson Buchta, was born April 3, 1905, in Goodhue County. He married Selma Bauernfeind June 6, 1931, in Kenyon. He farmed in the Wheeling Township area. He is survived by his wife, Selma; a daughter, Mrs. James (Ardelles) McGehee of Laguna Beach, Calif.; two granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; a brother, Martin Buchta of Dennison; three sisters, Mrs. Leonard (Lillie) Lee of Stewartville, Mrs. Minnie Anderson of Long Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Fred (Esther) Lau of Farmington; nieces; and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Lee Buchta.
