Poolroom Shooting at Outlook Aggressor Died the Next Day
"Red" Ryan, alias Harry Barnes, was mortally wounded in a gun battle at Outlook Tuesday evening when he rushed into Mike Flannery's pool hall and started shooting things up generally. He fired several shots in the direction of the proprietor, who retaliated with deadly effect, hitting the "bad man" in the stomach. He was rushed to the local hospital and was immediately operated upon by Dr. Fawcett.
The following day at 2 o'clock, "Red" Ryan died at the hospital and shortly afterwards a coroner's jury rendered a verdict as follows: "Red Ryan" came to his death by a bullet wound inflicted from a bullet fired from a revolver in the hand of Mike Flannery in self defense."
