"William T. Holling, aged 32, of Schenevus, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 9, at Fox Memorial Hospital in Oneonta following a long illness. Mr. Holling was born in Schenevus on November 13, 1934, the son of John and Flora (Jeffers) Holling. He married Ruth Hance in Schenevus on May 6, 1956. He had been a fireman for the D&H Railroad. He was a member of the Firemen's and Engineers Brotherhood. Surviving are his wife; three children, Debora, Linda and Jarret, all at home; his parents of Oneonta; his grandmother, Mrs. Nettie Dates of Oneonta; three brothers, Donald of Horseheads, Sgt. Ernest Holling of the U. S. Army in Korea, and John of Oneonta; several uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews ... Burial will be in Schenevus Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home at their convenience. The family will be in attendance from 7 to 9 p. m. on Friday."
