Mrs. Emery French
A resident of Troy for 20 years, Mrs. Velma M. French, age 56, 686 Owendale, died June 8 in William Beaumont hospital, Royal Oak, Michigan after a short illness.
Mrs. French was born April 22, 1913 in Snover. She married to Emery R. French on September 17, 1933, in Lexington, Michigan.
She is survived by her husband and one daughter, Mrs. Carl (Shirley) McPherson, Grayling and two grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. C B. Loree, Flint; and a brother, Ellis Dennis, Port Huron.
Her father was the late Ensley Dennis.
Mrs. French was a member of the WSCS and Deborah Circle of the Big Beaver United Methodist church in Troy.
The Rev. Paul Blomquist, pastor of the church, conducted the funeral services at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 12 at the Price Funeral Home on Rochester road, Troy. Interment was conducted by Rev. C. B. Loree in the Croswell cemetery.
