Dunlap – Services for Myrtle M. Peterson, 71, of 309 Third St., who died at 3:55 p.m. Wednesday in St. Francis Medical Center, will be held at 11:30 a.m. this morning ar Woosley-Wilton Funeral Home, Peoria.
The Rev Ralph Dude will officiate and burial will be in Peterson Cemetery at Camden. Visitation will begin at 10 this morning at the funeral home.
Born Nov. 8, 1916 in Brown County to Chalmer and Jean Prunty Moore, she married Harold M. Peterson Jan. 17, 1935, in Palmyra, MO. He died April 9, 1967, in Dunlap. One brother and one sister also preceded her.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Jerry (Norma) Brader of Highlandville, Mo., Mrs. Charles (Sandra) Christy if Brimfield, Mrs. Bill (Donna) Bowden, Mrs. John (Debra) Devine, both of Peoria; two sons, Dave of Brimfield and Doug of Dunlap; three brothers, Chalmer "Bud" Moore of Peoria, Bob Moore of Rushville and Joe of East Peoria; one sister, Mrs. Ray (Ruth) Loring of Camden; 13 grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
She was employed as a cook in the Dunlap School District for 17 years, retiring in 1986.
