Marvin Broyles, 89, of Union City, Tenn., formerly of Hickman, died at 7:40 a.m. Monday at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.
Mr. Broyles was a native of Coffee County, Tenn. He was employed 15 years as a mechanic at Stoke's Chevrolet. He was a member of David's Chapel Baptist Church.
He is survived by one daughter, Ruby Hughes of Union City; one sister, Ivettie Anderson of Hickman; three half sisters; one half brother; two grandchildren, Denise Lee of Troy, Tenn., and Jimmy Hughes of Union City; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Earlene Broyles; two brothers; and two sisters. His parents were Luther and Mattie Harriman Broyles.
