Randy Witt, 47, of Oconee died Saturday, September 1, 2012 in his home,
He was born November 29, 1964 in Pana, IL, the son of Gale L. "Shorty" & Joan Stout Witt. A graduate of Pana High School, he lived his entire life in Pana & Oconee, and lived in the same house for almost 40 years. Randy worked for Christian County FS for 22 years and was a custom applicator and also farmed. He enjoyed hunting, was excellent at woodworking, and could do almost anything with motors. He will be remembered by all the things he built and repaired.
Randy and Patty Lynn Brookman were married on August 27, 2011 at the home in rural Oconee. He is survived by his wife: Patty Lynn Witt, Oconee, IL; daughter: Cheyenne Witt at home in Oconee; mother: Joann Witt, Pana, IL; step children: Dustin Scroggins, Decatur, IL; Linsaie Wakeland, Ramsey, IL; Emily Compton, Tower Hill, IL; Molly Wakeland, Herrick, IL; special niece: Ashley Witt; 8 step grandchildren; brother: Walter Witt, Oakwood, IL; and by his sister: Rhonda Doolin & husband Ron, Pana, IL.
He was preceded in death by his father on March 11, 2002.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 4, 2012 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Barry Long officiating. Burial will be in Price Cemetery, Oconee. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at McCracken-Dean Funeral Home.
