James Anderson, who was reported as having pneumonia in last week's issue, died Thursday evening, Feb. 20th at the home of John Hevener. The funeral sermon was preached by Rev. H. A. Wilson, and his remains were laid to rest in t he cemetery at this place Friday evening. He was highly respected, and will be missed by all who knew him.

Mrs. James A. Anderson Obituary

Mrs. Cordelia Snyder Anderson, widow of James A. Anderson, died suddenly Friday March 24, at her residence in Staunton. Mrs. Anderson was born at Crabbottom, November 14, 1864, a daughter of David and Caroline Brantner Snyder, and resided there until the family moved to Staunton in 1912. Mr. Anderson died in 1913. She is survived by six sons, J.C., R.J., L.G. Anderson, Staunton; C.R., J.A., and W.F. Anderson, Akron, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. Alby Rexrode, Monterey; Miss Clara Anderson, at home; two stepdaughters, Mrs. I. M. Wagner and Mrs. Nora Hevener Staunton; three sisters, Mrs. H. H. Hevener, Mrs. J. T. Palmer, Mrs. M.B. Davis, Staunton; four brothers, L.S., J. E., J.R., and K.G. Snyder, Staunton; two half-sisters, Mrs. Ludie Stover, Dayton; Mrs. Florence McNulty, Monterey Mrs. Anderson was for many years a member of the Crabbottom Methodist church, moving her membership to Central Church upon moving to Staunton. The funeral was held Monday from the Central Methodist church Staunton.
