Mrs. John W. Alexander, 65, 1051 Lucas street, died at 11:15 a.m. today in Muscatine General hospital. She had been ill for a long time.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 9:00 a.m. at. St. Mathias church. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Riley Funeral home. Friends may call at the funeral home starting Wednesday morning.

The former Agnes Mary Geltz, Mrs. Alexander was born in Muscatine Oct 4, 1899. Her parents were Valentine and Mary Oppelt Geltz. She married Mr. Alexander June 18, 1927, at Rock Island, Ill. She was a member of St. Mathias church.

Surviving are her husband; two sons, John Alexander, Muscatine and Harold Alexander, Rock Island; two daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Mary) Campbell and Mrs. Floyd (Ruth) Garrett, Muscatine, four brothers, Milton Geltz, Marston Mills, Mass., and Clarence, Albert and Harold Geltz, all of Oakland, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Harry Hearn, Mrs. Lennie Orr and Mrs. Margaret McMaken, all of Muscatine, and six grandchildren.

Her parents, four sisters and four brothers are dead.
