James O. Waddington, 88, passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2010 from complications associated with myelodysplasia. He was born Dec. 24, 1921 in Crystal River, FL, but lived in Jacksonville most of his life. He graduated from business college and worked in civil service at NAS until retirement. He was an avid fisherman and active member of Mandarin Baptist Church. He was a strong Christian and a special person dedicated to his family. The family would like to thank the members of his Sunday school class for their love and concern. He was predeceased by his son Tommy and wife Elyce. He is survived by his grandson Blake and son Dane. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a contribution to the VA at www.dav.org . Visitation will be Saturday, April 24, at 10 a.m. with service to follow at 11 a.m. at HARDAGE GIDDENS MANDARIN CHAPEL, 11801 San Jose Blvd. with whom arrangements are entrusted to.
