John Barton, 57 Dies at Blackey
John Barton, age 57 of Blackey, was called by death on Monday, Dec. 12, at 5:15 P.M. He was born August 6, 1898 being the son of William Barton and Vicy Powers of Virginia.
Mr. Barton had been employed as a miner. He is survived by his wife, Betty Coots Barton and six brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services were held at Little Ruby Church, Elder Basil Hall, Jack Brown, I. D. Back, Orell Flannery and Emmitt Adams, conducting the services. Burial took place in the Blackey Cemetery, Craft Funeral Home in charge.
