Madge Mozelle Dellinger was born on October 16, 1915, to the proud parents Alfred Nathan and Martha Ellen Moore Dellinger. Madge was the 5th child born to the couple out of 5 children. Madge's siblings include Chesley Yates, John William, Arlie Nathan and Nettie Pearl Dellinger.

Madge met and married George Charles Gentzler (AKA Robert Joseph Kelley and AKA George Kelley). The couple lived in a very pretty gray colored home in Vale, NC. Madge loved to garden. She had several flower beds and a vegetable garden. She really had a green thumb as they say. Madge and George raised a daughter, Elizabeth that was adopted. While raising her daughter Madge worked at a furniture company. Her job was staining the furniture. The home the couple lived in later became her brother's home after she died. Her husband left Elizabeth behind and the home. Skipping town to town in NC. until he wore out his welcome there. Then he moved to other states. Ending up in New York, where Elizabeth was raised after her death. This is where he died in 2013. Most of her family lived on this road. Her sister Nettie and family, Chesley and family and niece Bronnie Mae. A very close family. The road was named after their family name, Dellinger Rd. At the time the Dellinger family lived on this road there were only 6 homes. The oldest being Nettie Dellinger Smith's home. It was over a 100 years old. I had the pleasure to live here for weeks at a time while growing up. It was a very nice home, well kept with no running water. They had a pump. This old home was the go to home for all family reunions.

Sadly, Madge had Metastatic Adenocarcenoma to the liver. It spread from her breast to the liver. While having this terrible cancer she was made to work in the garden and furniture company, by her husband. This poor woman worked with a hot water bottle on her. Madge had a terrible life. Married to a drunk who abused her. I'm sorry to say. She never deserved this treatment as per she was a very kind lady. Who would do anything for anyone. Madge suffered with this terrible disease for 8 month until her death. She died on October 6, 1975, at 11:45 pm, just 10 days before her 60th birthday. She was cremated and buried on October 7, 1975. Madge is buried by herself at Westminster Gardens Cemetery in Greensboro, NC.
