Catherine Tigue/McTygue was the daughter of Michael Tigue and Bridget Purcell. She was born in Jul of 1833 in Shrule, County Mayo Ireland. Catherine came to America as a child. Her father Michael had died by 1860, the family was living in Killingly, Connecticut at that time.
Catherine married Thomas C. Conry (Thomas was born in Ireland) and they were the parents of six children:
Annie July 1865- Aug 1874
Frederick 1866-1936 - married Sarah Skall
Julia 1868 -1962 - married Patrick McDermott
Richard 1874-1956
Emmett 1876-1909 - killed in a lumber accident
Thomas 1876-?
