Wife of Absalom B. Woodruff.

Isabella (D'Wolf) Woodruff was originally buried in the Sandy Hill Cemetery in Paterson, New Jersey. Her remains, along with those of her husband, Absalom B. Woodruff, and two sons, were removed from Sandy Hill when the cemetery was officially condemned and closed by the City of Paterson in 1917. The remains of Isabella Woodruff, her husband and two sons were buried in a large section of Cedar Lawn Cemetery where hundreds of unclaimed bodies were laid to rest following their removal from Sandy Hill. Most families had already removed their relatives from Sandy Hill prior to its official closing. Those bodies that remained were largely unidentified, and those whose families had either moved away or simply died out. It is uncertain if any descendants or relatives of the Woodruff family were alive at the time of Sandy Hill's close. The obelisk which was erected over their grave at Sandy Hill was also removed to Cedar Lawn, where it presently rests on the Woodruff's new gravesite.
