Mary A. Maher Appelgate was born in New York. I was unable to find the names of her parents. She married Louis Appelgate about 1889. In a 1910 census they had 6 children living. 2children had died: Mary I. born July 1896-1897, and Lewis James jr., born Jan 1, 1900 and died 1901. The place of their burial is unknown. John Sidney was 19yrs. old, born Jan. 28,1891. He was working as an auto machinest in the 1910 census. He married Mary Catherine Bird, and they had a son, Jack, who was 21 in a 1920 census. John raised his family in Maryville, Yuba, Calif. according to a WWII registration form. He also worked as a "Laborer in Express Coma." (commercial?) as he was working in the commercial business for a Movie Files Co. previously in Des Moines. He died in Yuba Dec. 9, 1947. Frances E.(Fannie), a daughter was born July 1892. I found no other info on her. William O. "Will" was born in 1894, and in the 1910 census, was working as an electrician in a dept. store. I found no other into on him. Mary I.
