Anna Daugherty was born in Iowa City, Ia., on Sept. 12, 1872, to John and Elizabeth Daugherty.

At the age of six, she moved with her parents to Fairview, S.D., where her father died. In 1883, she moved with her mother and family to Lexington, Neb.

On Jan. 20, 1890, she was married to Thomas McEntee and to this union 12 children were born.

The McEntee made their home in Eddyville, Neb., until 1928 when they moved to Mitchell.

Mr. McEntee died in 1949, after which Mrs. McEntee made her home with her son, Hugh of Mitchell, until 1957 when her health began failing her. She then resided with her daughter, Agnes, (Mrs. Fred Klemp) of Mitchell until her death.

Mrs. McEntee died Feb. 28, 1960, at a Mitchell hospital at the age of 87.

She is survived by seven sons, Hugh, Michael, Leo, Clinton, Francis and Lawrence, all of Mitchell, and Arthur of Grand Island, Neb., and one daughter, Mrs. Klemp of Mitchell; 30 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services for her were held at 10 a.m., Thursday, March 3, 1960, in the Holy Family Catholic Church of Mitchell with the Rev. James M. Doyle officiating.

Pallbearers were Hugh, Arthur, Leo, Clinton, Francis and Michael McEntee, all of Mitchell.

Honorary pallbearers were Alva Blacksten, D. B. Craft, Earl Marshall, Domnick Schneider, Ed Crampton and Bert Bliss, all of Mitchell.

Burial was in Calvary Cemetery
