JESSIE GATTIS LYBRAND
CLOVER, S.C. — Jessie Gattis Lybrand, 93, of 951 Shannon Meadow Rd., formerly of Mount Holly, died May 14, 2005, at Gaston Memorial Hospital, Gastonia.
A native of Mecklenburg County, she was daughter of the late John & Susie Hathcock Gattis.
FUNERAL: at 3 p.m., today at McLean Funeral Directors of Belmont, Bumgardner Chapel
INTERMENT: Following the service at Greenwood Cemetery
VISITATION: 2-3 p.m. today before the service at the funeral home
She retired after more than 20 years as an Avon Representative. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Mount Holly for over 70 years and received the United Methodist Women Life Pin. She was a loving mother, grandmother and a friend to all.
SURVIVORS: Her son and daughter-in-law, Johnny & Suzanne Lybrand of Newnan, Ga.;
daughters and son-in-law, Helen & Tom Cauthen of Mount Holly and Darlene Ellis of Clover, S.C.; daughter-in-law, Betty J. Lybrand of Columbus, Ga., 17 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Eugene Lybrand, her son, James E. Lybrand and her daughters, Betty L. Byers and Mattie "Butch" Perkins.
