Beloved husband of the late Marie Grace (Zampano) Arpaia. Loving father of Nicholas E. Arpaia III of Durham and Kimberly M. Arpaia of New Haven; brother of Letty A. Plourd and her husband Rick of W. Lake Village, CA., uncle of Dr. David Plourd of San Diego, CA.
Nicholas was the son of the late Nicholas E. and Ella Mae (Foley) Arpaia Sr. Prior to his retirement, he was the Owner and President of Nickson Tool Sales Co. in North Haven.
