On February 20, 1960, Orange Lee O'Gilvie married Alzada Griffin, and was happily married for fifty-two years. They were parents of ten children, with one (Shirley Ann O'Gilvie) who preceded him in death. Orange Lee was one of seventeen children, with nine brothers, and seven sisters.

Orange Lee worked many years for Champion Iron and Metal Works, to support and care for his family.

Orange Lee leaves to Cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife (Alzada), nine children; Robert(Sandra), Cal (Felton), Bennie(O'Neal), Diane (Sammy), Betty (Raymond Jr.), Janet (Reginald), Joseph (Regina), Shelia(Parrish), and Charolette. Orange Lee also leaves to cherish his memories 15 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 3 Sisters; Annie, Julia (Bishop J. L. Parker), and Shirley, and 1 brother Mongo Eugene (Stacey). Orange Lee has 8 brothers and 4 sisters who also preceded him in death. Orange Lee also leaves to cherish his memories a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives.
