Robert Hudnall, 71 years old, former county clerk of Callaway County Missouri, died at his home on West Seventh Street, Fulton, Missouri early Friday morning, February 2, 1917, from an apparent stroke. Mr. Hundall was striken on the sidewalk in front of the Jackson Boarding House Thursday evening as he started home for supper. Before leaving the Boarding House, he complained of feeling ill, and friends in the house watched as he left and saw him fall. He was taken into the house again and cared for and was sent home in a taxi. His condition caused his sister, Mrs Kate(Kitty) Hoffman, who made her home with him, to call friends, who sat up with him all night. The end came about 6:30 o'clock Friday morning, while he was sleeping. Mr. Hudnall was born in Montgomery County Missouri on January 16, 1846. He came to Callaway County when a young man, and for many years lived in Williamsburg, Missouri, where he taught school. He was elected county clerk in 1898, and served one term, and after that was a partner in several Fulton merchantile establishments. The last two or three years, however, his health was bad and he had not been in business. Besides Mrs Hoffman, one other sister, Mrs Isaac Estill, of Montgomery County, who is about 80 years old, survives. Other siblings were: Edward, Jane S, and Josephus. Funeral services were held in Fulton Sunday afternoon and the Odd Fellows, of which he was a member, were in charge of burial in the Montgomery City Cemetery in Montgomery County Missouri.

This obituary was revised by Kuebler Research to add names of family members and the place of burial. The original obituary was from the Fulton Gazette, Fulton, Callaway County Missouri in February, 1917.
