Lula Mae Herron
Big Stone Gap - Mrs. Lula Mae Sampson Herron, 71, died Friday at her home following an extended illness.
She was a member of the Full Gospel church in Jesus Name and a lifelong resident of the area.
Survivors include her husband, Claude Herron; two daughters, Mrs. Shirley McMahan, and Mrs. Louise Guynes, both of Big Stone Gap; five sons, Howard Sampson, Sammy Sampson, and Robert Ray Sampson, all of Big Stone Gap, A.G. Sampson, Kingsport, and John SAmmpson Jr., Andover, Va.; two brothers, Amos Herron, and George Herron, both of Big Stone Gap; 34 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Holding Funeral Home is in charge.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lula Mae Sampson Herron will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday from the Holding Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Frank McMahan and the Rev. Tommy Summers officiating. Burial will follow in the American Legion Cemetery. Visistation will be from 7-9 p.m. Saturday at Holding Funeral Home.
