TAHLEQUAH--Memorial services for Martha Marie Anthony, age 59, of Tahlequah will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday Aug. 10, 2004, at Hart Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Gary Carey officiating.
Martha Marie Anthony was born to Thorn and Ella (Carey) Catron on Dec. 30, 1944, in Tahlequah, and passed from this life on Sunday, Aug. 8, 2004, in Stillwell.
Martha was raised and spent most of her adult life in the Tahlequah area. When Martha wasn't busy working as a home health provider, she enjoyed making beautiful quilts. Music was a favorite pastime, and she really enjoyed country and gospel music. Martha had a ready smile and a wonderful sense of humor, which she shared with all her family and friends. On July 24, 1986, Martha married Ersel Anthony in Tahlequah. They enjoyed 18 years together. Martha was always happiest when spending time with her family and friends talking. She was baptized and a member of Bushy Mountain Baptist Church. Her parents, her stepmother, Freda, and her grandparents precede Martha in death.
Martha is survived by her loving husband, Ersel Anthony of the home; three children, Angela Findley of Tahlequah, Jessie Leply of Tulsa, and Justin Sexton of Muskogee; one sister, Margaret Moss of Okmulgee; three brothers, Paul Catron and wife Lyn of Arkansas, Frank Catron and wife Carolyn of Okay, and Jesse Catron and wife Carol of Muskogee; two half-brothers, "Lucky" Robin Catron and wife Kelly of Muskogee, and Joe Catron also of Muskogee; two half-sisters, Peggy and Cindy Catron, all of Muskogee; eight grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, stepbrothers, and sisters; as well as a host of friends and loved ones.
