"Funeral services will be held today, Thursday, at 10 a.m. at Hohenwald Methodist Church for Mrs. Ethelyn Brown. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery at Farmer's Exchange under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home. Mrs. Brown died September 6 in Maury County Hospital after several months' illnesds. She was 67...Mrs. Brown was married to Jesse O. Brown, who died in 1960. She was a native of Tyrone, New York, but had lived most of her life in Detroit, Mi. Mr. and Mrs. Brown moved to Hohenwald and then to Florida, returning to Hohenwald early in 1960.....She was a member of the Methodist Church and had been active in church work here serving as secretary to the pastor of Hohenwald Methodist Church... Surviving are a son, Jesse David Brown, Des Plaines, Ill.; 2 sisters, Mrs. Eva Vasburg, Elmira, New Yori and Mrs. Celeste Wolfe, Detroit, Mi."
