He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ettaline Boone; and three brothers, John Morgan, Daniel, and Barnett Boone.
Survivors include his wife, Geddes Noble Boone of Northport; son, William Paul Boone (Lisa) of Dearborn, Mich.; sister, Mary Ann Faucett of Northport; brother, Bobby E. "Skeet" Boone (Patricia) of Samantha; granddaughter, Emily Ann Boone of Dearborn, Mich.; and nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Paul Wright Boone was born in Samantha, Ala. where he lived until graduating from Gorgas High School. After four years in the Air Force, he moved to Huntsville, Ala. There he met his wife of 47 years, Geddes, and worked in the aerospace industry on projects from early satellite launches to the moon landings and beyond. In 1979 he was transferred to Clearwater, Fla. where he continued to work on a variety of civilian and military aerospace projects. After his retirement he moved to Northport, Ala. to be closer to his family. His favorite activities were reading, spoiling his Siamese cat, and cheering for Alabama football. His greatest joy was his granddaughter Emily, born in 2011.
