Elsie Howe Snell, 90 years young, passed away Aug. 28, 2012, due to complications of a fall. She was born March 26, 1922, in Kane, Wyo., and has lived the last 45 years in Sterling, Colo., before recently moving to South Jordan, Utah. She married Cecil Wasson Snell, Oct. 3, 1945, in the Salt Lake Temple; he preceded her in death. They were happily married for 52 years. Elsie was a wonderful friend to all who knew her. She brightened everyone's life through her beautiful music, and wonderful sense of humor.
Survivors include her sons, Ronald (Karenne) of Parker, Colo., and Wes (Sheri) of South Jordan, Utah. Additional survivors include brothers Louis Grant and Leonard Riley Howe, and sister Lucy Lou Snell. Elsie was blessed with nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 31, 2012, 10 a.m. at the River 4th Ward, 1229 W. Country Creek Drive (10775 South), South Jordan, Utah, where there will be a viewing preceding the funeral at 9 a.m. Graveside services will be held Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, 10 a.m. at the Lovell, Wyo., Cemetery.
