Valoie loved life and loved her family dearly. She was born in Hyrum, Utah, on June, 21, 1922, to John Egdar Allred and Elizabeth Francis Israelsen Allred. Her life marked all of those she met with her enthusiasm and compassion. She married Willy Albrecht on Aug. 9, 1948. Valoie returned to her Heavenly Father Aug. 27, 2012, surrounded by loving members of her family.

There was never a dull moment for Valoie as she applied her imagination and ingenuity to every project she tackled. She will long be remembered for her wit and wisdom.

Valoie served her country during World War II maintaining and repairing aircraft parts at Hill Air Field. Later she continued her community service by spending countless hours of volunteer service at the Hyrum City Museum. She was recognized for her service by Hyrum City as the Distinguished Citizen in 1993 and by the State of Utah as Volunteer of the Year in 1999.

Valoie is survived by her six children, Ivan Kip Albrecht, Dwight Allred Albrecht (Cynthia), Ann Elizabeth Bolinder (Vern), Bruce Emil Albrecht (Cleo), Eva Jensen and Marie Albrecht (Joel Abernathy); as well as many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and in-laws.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E. Center St. in Logan. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the mortuary. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery.
