Robert H. "Bobby" Shirk, 90, of The Mennonite Home, formerly of Hebrank Street, Lancaster, PA, died at Lancaster General Hospital on Thursday, August 23, 2012.

Robert was born in East Petersburg, PA, and remained a life long resident of Lancaster County. He was the son of the late Peter and Esther Heistand Myers Shirk.

He worked as a Custodian for the Lancaster City Schools for 7 years and was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, East Petersburg.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Robert's Life Celebration Service from The Chapel at the Mennonite Home, 1520 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster, PA on Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012, at 10:00 AM with the Rev. Mary Margaret Ruth officiating. Interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Friends may call at the Chapel on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until time of service.
