Evelyn "Daisy" Huff, 89, past resident of Lake Quivira, KS, passed away at Lake View Village Care Center Wed., Aug. 29, 2012. Visitation will start at 11 a.m. and the funeral will be held at 1 p.m. at Maple Hill Funeral Home Fri., Aug. 31. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery. She was a member of many civic organizations: Argentine Optimist Club, Argentine Activities Assoc., American Legion Post 111 Ladies Aux, Board of Directors of Cross-lines. She was past President of the Lake Quivira Garden Club, Lake Quivira Ladies Investment Club, Kansas Medical Society Aux, Stanley Grade School PTA, and Parliamentarian of the Shawnee Mission area PTA Council. Daisy was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. John D. Huff, and her son, Delvin Huff. She leaves behind her son, John R. Huff and his wife Marian, of Lenexa, KS, 2 daughters: Patricia Fiering of Vero Beach, FL, Marilyn Howard and her husband Bill of Appleton, WI, 8 grandchildren and 2 great- grandchildren.
