Services for Mrs. Leah Caster were conducted from the Hammon, Oklahoma Church of Christ Church on Monday, Dec. 15, 1980 at 2:00 p.m. Internment was in the Red Hill Cemetery, Hammon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Martin Funeral Home in Elk City.

Mrs. Caster was born July 2, 1891 at Royce City, Texas. She passed away Dec. 12, 1980 in the Community Hospital. She came to Elk City in 1910 one year after her marriage to Albert Caster on August 15, 1909 in Blair, Oklahoma. She and her husband then moved to Hammon in 1915 to farm on a farm northwest of town.

Survivors include 4 daughters: Mrs. Opal Gray of El Reno, OK., Mrs. Jewel Morrow, Albuquerque, NM, Mrs. Doris Morton, Hammon, and Mrs. Theola Canterberry, Ellensburg, Washington; 2 sons, Troy Caster of Yukon, OK and Merrill Caster of El Reno, OK, brothers O.D. Ward of Evansv ille, IN and W.O. Ward of Guthrie, OK. one sister, Mrs. Mayme McBee, 19 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one son; one grandson and one great grandson.
