IRVINE - Sylvia Rae Tipton Hall, age 82, of 4th Street in Ravenna, passed away Sat., Sept. 17, 2005, at the Irvine Health & Rehabilitation Center after a long illness. She was born Oct. 10, 1922 in Estill County, and was the daughter of the late Kelly and Margaret Ellen Smyth Tipton. She was a former Carhartt, Inc. employee and loved to quilt. She was of the Christian faith and had lived in Estill County all of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Delmar Hall. She is survived by three daughters: Harriet Henry and husband, Larry, Ravenna; Julia Ann Davidson, Las Vegas; and LaDell Crowe and husband Rudy, Ravenna; two sons, Larry Hall, Richmond; Tony Hall and wife Bonita, McDowell, KY; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; special nieces, Mabel Ann Lindsay, N. Carolina and Georgia Lynn Winkler and husband Ken, CA. She was preceded in death by one daughter LaRee Cook and two sisters, Zella Marie Thomas and Opal Carter. Funeral services will be conducted 11 am Wed., Sept. 21 at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by bro. Joe Lahrmer. Burial will be at the West Irvine Cemetery. Friends may call 6-9 pm Tues. at the funeral home.
