Charlotte Godsey 'Memaw' Bailey, 77, of Kingsport, Sullivan Co TN, passed away Friday July 25, 2008 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.

Charlotte was born April 8, 1931 in Johnson City, TN the daughter of the late Ralph and Lucy Mae Godsey and has resided in Kingsport most of her life. She retired from Krogers after forty three years of service.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death byher loving husband Chuck Bailey.

Survivors included one daughter, Rhonda Sue Bailey of Kingsport; one son, Alan Bailey and his wife Sandra of Church Hill, TN; one grandson, Josh Bailey and his wife Michelle of Church Hill, TN, and one brother, Stanley Godsey of Gray, TN.

The family will receive friends on Sunday July 27, 2008 from noon, 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home. Service will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Reverend David Salley officiating. Graveside services will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be family and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Wexford House staff.
