Prominent Business Man and Planter Passes Away in Columbia Hospital
Denmark, Oct. 4 - W. H. Faust, sixty-four, a leading citizen of this community, died late today at Providence hospital, Columbia, after an illness of a few days.
He was a son of the late Angus and Addie Trowell Faust. Mr. Faust was head of the Coca Cola Bottling company and was an extensive planter. He served the Denmark Methodist church as a member of the board of stewards and at his death was a trustee of the church. He also had served the town as alderman.
Mr. Faust is survived by his widow, formerly Miss Ellie Blythe, of Greenwood; a daughter, Mrs. Holly Pearson, of Sumter; two sisters, Mrs. W. S. Cooper and Mrs. Austin Finch, of Denmark; two nephews and a niece.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
