Mary Lorine Shelton French, entered Heaven August 22nd, 2012 at the age of 91. Mary Lorine Shelton French LOVED the Lord, her family, her friends, swimming, the Oklahoma Sooners and the Los Angeles Lakers! She was born to Wilson Mcray and Mattie Irene (Phillips) Shelton on October 14th, 1920. The baby of the family, Lorine was the youngest of 11 brothers and sisters. Lorine married Henry Clarence French Jr. in 1937. Henry French Jr. passed away in 1987, but during their 50 year marriage they were blessed with 4 children (Janice Joy, Henry Clarence III, Dwight David, and Michael Andrew), 8 grandchildren (Lori, Gene, Henry IV, Summer, Heather, Aimee, Amber and Ashley) and 3 great grandchildren (Makaila, Haley and Jacob.)
Lorine was a devoted member of her church attending The First Baptist Church of Glendora, CA for the majority of her later years. There she sang in the choir, taught Vacation Bible School and was a constant and active voice of support with a willing heart to serve! She was also a proud member of The Living Oaks Baptist Church of Tulsa, OK after she relocated to Tulsa in 2003.
Lorine will be laid to rest at the Oakdale Memorial Park Cemetery in Glendora, CA, August 30th, 2012. Funeral services at 1:00 pm.
