Mrs. Dahl, age 94, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2007 at Bay Regional Medical Center. She was born March 29, 1913 in Hale, Ml to the late John and Mitilda (lllig) Brindley. Clara married George C. Dahl in West Branch on December 28, 1932 and he predeceased her on August 15, 1981. She retired from Prestolite in 1975. Clara was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary and the League of Catholic Women & Men.
Surviving is one granddaughter, Yula (Joe) Eckerd; one grandson, George Dahl; nine great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters: Clarence Brindley, Richard (Lucille) Brindley, Irene (Wilmer) Hunt, and Dorothy (Earl Geiersbach) Duletzke, a sister-in-law, Sarah Brindley, a brother-in-law, Carl Berg, along with Rick Belanger and wife Cindy Rose who were close friends of Clara and several nieces and nephews. Clara was predeceased by her
son, Junior A. (Yula) Dahl; a granddaughter, Terri Belanger; three brothers and four sisters: Louie, Howard, and John Brindley, Eva and Louisa Brindley, Helen Rehil and Genice Berg and a sister-in-law, Madeline Brindley.
The Funeral Mass and Rite of Committal will be celebrated Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. from St. Mary's Church. Fr. Steven Gavit will celebrate Mass and private interment will be in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the Squires Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. and at church on Wednesday after 9:00 a.m. A Parish Vigil Service for Clara will be held Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. from the funeral home. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St.
Mary's Church.
