Dr. S. Paul Albert, 86, of Plant Road in Clifton Park, NY, died on Monday (September 17, 2001) at Albany Medical Center after a short illness.

He was born on November 14, 1914 in St. Agatha, ME and was the son of the late Patrick and Edith Chasse Albert. Dr. Albert was a graduate of Wisdom High School in St Agatha, ME in 1932. He attended C.W. Post College in Long Island, NY, and subsequently graduated from Palmer College in Davenport, IA with his Doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine. In 1960, he began his own practice in Cohoes, NY and retired in 1989.

Dr. Albert was a parishioner of St. Mary's Church, Crescent, NY, and he was also a member of the Knights of Columbus in Crescent since 1937. Dr Albert was a first, second, and fourth degree knight. He was also a well-respected member of the Rotary Club of Cohoes, NY since 1960. Dr. Albert was also a member of the NYS Chiropractic Association.

Dr. Albert is survived by his wife of 63 years, Eva T. (Tardif) Albert of Clifton Park, NY. He is also survived by his seven children, Norman Albert and his wife, Emmineth of Dunnelin, FL, Gilman Albert of Saratoga Springs, NY, Verna Blume and her husband, Frank of Colchester, Jeannine Poirier of Montgomery Center, VT, Claudette Peters of Saratoga Springs, NY, Bernice Butts and her husband, John of Melbourne, FL and Roland Yacur and her husband, Wayne of Saratoga Springs, NY. He is also survived by a sister, Rose A. Myers of Connecticut; and five brothers, Lewis Albert of Rhode Island, J. Raoul Albert and Clarence Albert, both of Maine, Henry J. Albert of Colorado, and Paul-Emil Albert of California. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Aline Albert; and five brothers, Walter, Raoul, Albee, Edward and Richard Albert.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 9:45 a.m. from Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Route 9, Clifton Park, NY; and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Crescent, NY, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may call on Thursday, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory's Garden in Colonie, NY.
