Christian Kuney was born June 5, 1816 in Fayette, Seneca Co, Ny to Henry Kuney and Susan Brown. He married Mary Ann Gamber (widow) on November 29, 1835 and they had 12 children whom they raised on a 100 acre farm in Seneca Co. When he was 47 yrs. old he left the farm and moved to Madison Township, Lenawee Co, Michigan where he started a new life purchasing 240 acres of land for a new farm. In his later years he became incapacitated and died on March 5, 1898, just a week after his son Seymour died.
