Funeral services for David Wayne Looney, 62, of Denver City were Friday, August 31, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. in the Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel in Denver City. Officiating was by Randy Gooch. Interment followed in the Denver City Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Denver City.
Looney passed away Sunday, August 21, 2012 in Denver City, Texas. Looney was born in Levelland, Texas on February 17, 1950 to Sherman and Ellen Looney.
Looney served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked for Basic Energy for eight years as a mechanic.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
David is survived by his daughter Sheila Hart and husband Ken of Bentson (Benton), Arkansas; three brothers: Ricky Looney of Denver City, Texas, Don Looney of Midland, Texas and Bill Looney of Henderson, Nevada: a step sister Connie Harper of Eunice, New Mexico along with two grandchildren Kallie and Blake Hart.
