died Nov. 2, 1989, at his home at La
Crosse. Born Aug. 17, 1895, in Rush
County, he married Freda
Scheideman Dec. 9, 1922, at La
Crosse.
A retired farmer, he was a
lifetime resident of Rush County.
He was a World War I veteran, a
member of the United Methodist
Church, the American Legion No.
33, and the Senior Citizens Center,
all of La Crosse.
Survivors: wife, of the home; son,
Ivan, La Crosse; daughters, Aleta
Crabtree, Leavenworth, LaVada
Hayworth, Overland Park; brother,
Jake, Newberry Park, Calif.; ten
grandchildren; and nine greatgrandchildren.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at
Janousek Funeral Home, La
Crosse, the Rev. Jim Bush. Burial
will be in La Crosse Cemetery.
Memorials may go to the church or
to Barnard Library, La Crosse.
