Edward F. Eysink, 65, of 1228 Main St., Davenport, died at 7 30 a m. Saturday, April 14, in Mercy Hospital following a brief illness.
Born January, 1891, near Pella he attended schools there and Central College. He was a graduate of Augustana College and taught in Brown's Business college and Davenport High School a number of years ago. He had recently served as organist for the five Masonic Blue Lodges, Kaaba Temple Shrine and other organizations of the Davenport Masonic Temple. He was a member of the Christian Science Church. He married Theresa Klinck in January, 1951, in Davenport. His first wife died in August, 1946.
Surviving are the widow, two sisters, Miss Anna M. Eysink and Miss Mary C. Eysink, both of Davenport, and a nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Eysink, a sister, Mrs Dena Freeken, and a brother and sister, twins, in infancy.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Hill & Fredericks Chapel with W. H. Deware, first reader of the Christian Science Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Cordova Cemetery, Cordova, Ill. The Masonic rites were conducted both at the Hill & Fredericks Chapel and at the grave, and six Masons were pallbearers.
