He was involved a family business and later in many other businesses as a self-employed entrepreneur. He was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church and member of the church choir and instrumental group.
Gary, 66, died December 15, 2005 in Fort Collins, CO after a year long battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Karen Rae Swan Kelsay, two sons, Troy and Rod, and one daughter, Stephanie, and their spouses and children. Also, surviving are his parents, Uel and Stella Kelsay and his brother Thomas Kelsay and his spouse and children. Gary is also mourned by his many friends, classmates, and business acquaintances throughout the world.
