Coy Lee Vest, 89, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Monday, August 27, 2012 in a local nursing home.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a retired Master Sergeant in the U. S. Air Force. He served in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He was a member of Central Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his wife Ella Jean Vest earlier this year.
Funeral services with military honors are 2:00PM Thursday, August 30, 2012 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home Chapel of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Private burial will be held at the U.S. National Cemetery.
He is survived by his daughter Nan Thompson of Fort Smith, Arkansas; his son Greer Vest and his wife Linda of Plano, Texas; four grandchildren, Nicole Vest Farris and Kimberly Vest both of Dallas, Texas, Leigh Walker of Greenwood, Arkansas and Kevin Thompson of Fort Smith, Arkansas and six great grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends from 5-7PM on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
