Joan Marie "Chaunce" Crouse Parks, 76, entered into God's eternal care, Saturday, August 25, 2012, at the Hanover Hall Nursing Center. Joan was the wife of Charles Parks of Littlestown, and the wife of the late Jack M. Crouse, who died in 1998. Born January 30, 1936, in Hanover, she was the daughter of the late Chauncey and Rose (Hahn) Weaver. Joan was a member of the former Lohr's Memorial United Methodist Church, Hanover. She was a 1953 graduate of Eichelberger High School. Chaunce retired from Eisenhart Wall Coverings after many years of service. Joan enjoyed visiting the beach, beautifying her surroundings, and spending time with her friends and family. Joan is survived by three daughters, Bonnie Fuhrman of Thomasville, Wendy Crouse Krenzer of Hanover, and Cyndy Staley of Hanover; five grandchildren, Kristin, Jessica, Caroline, Matthew, and Ella, and great-grandchildren, Anna, Oliver, Rylan, Stella, and Crosby. She is also survived by two sisters, Evelyn Henry, of Hanover, and Ann Harrison, of Hendersonville, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Jonas Staley, a sister, Nadine Oyler, and two brothers, Thomas Weaver and Charles Weaver. Following cremation, the family will receive friends from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday at the First United Methodist Church, 200 Frederick St., Hanover, and a memorial service to celebrate and remember Joan's life will be held Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the church, with Pr. Adin Herndon officiating.
