OBIT FOR SARAH (lANDERS ) VICKREY

Miss Sarah Landers was born November 15, 1826, in Morgan Co.Indiana the daughter of William Landers and Delilah (Stone ) Landers. She reside in that place until the year of 1851, when she married Mr. Cyrus Vickrey of Highland County, Ohio. After their marriage they settled in Keokuk Co. Iowa between the two Skunk Rivers. In 1874 she moved with her husband to Sigourney, Iowa, and remained here until death claimed her Feb. 1, 1899. She goes to join her husband who crossed the dark river but a few months before her.
She leaves on daughter, Mrs Harriet D, Kendall; four grandchildren , Cyrus G., William F.., Sarah A., and Freddie X. Kendall; four brothers one sister and a host of friends to mourn their loss.
She was untied with the Christian Church about the the year 1860 and has live a devout christian life from that time until her death.
The funeral services took place at the home and conducted by Rev. Fisher, of Delta
