John T. Farley, South Callaway farmer, died early Tuesday morning at his home near Steedman. He was 76 years old.

Mr. Farley was one of the large growers of tobacco and watermelons in the river bottom lands, and he and his brother, the late Frank Farley, operated as partners in this business for many years.

He is survived by his wife, a son, Elliott Farley, who is in the Armed Forces, a brother, Robert Farley, three sisters, Mrs. Rose Estes, Mrs. Nannie Wallace and Mrs. Elvy Woofard, all of St. Louis.

Funeral services will be held at Pleasant Hill but the date and hour had not been set Tuesday afternoon, pendind word from his son.

John T. Farley, 76, of Steedman, died November 16, 1943 at his home.

Dr. W.O. Payne, of Fulton, prononced death caused by Carcinoma of the Liver with Metastasis to the throat. The informant was the spouse of the deceased.

John was born January 23, 1867, in Kentucky, the son of Creed E. and Henrietta (Reynolds) Farley. He was united in marriage to Mattie ? and she survives. John was a farmer.

Arrangements were under the care of Leo G. Wallace of Fulton with burial in the Pleasant Hill Cemetary.
