Born as Elliott B Barron in Iowa, the son of Amos William Barron Jr & Etta Jane Bates. Grew up in Baraboo & Madison, Wisconsin. In 1919 listed as an electrician helper in Madison. By 1921, he is listed as an electrician for Black Hawk Electric Co., then Badger Electric Co.. The 1930 census lists him as owner of an electric shop. Two sources say he was the only electrician who famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright would let work on his famous house known as "Spring Green" in Wisconsin. They worked on the latest technology together using underwater lighting. On 17 Nov 1930, he disappeared from Wisconsin & was never seen again. "Husband Slain By Gamblers" (attached). He changed his identity/name to William Elliott Barnes (this was verified with DNA). After 1939, he spent years as an electrician in the Merchant Marines making many trips to Aruba,Venezuela, & other locations in South America. Are there possible cousins there ??? ; First wife: Dovey May Alberta (Powell) Barron Yandre 1899-1974 of Wisconsin, had 2 sons, Infant Son Barron 1921-1921, & Richard Elliott Barron 1923-1972 (was a pilot in WW II) (Elliott deserted them 17 Nov 1930); now Elliott B Barron became William Elliott Barnes & married on 4 Jan 1936 in Philadelphia, second wife: Grace J Olphert of Ireland, had a daughter, Frances Theresa Barnes (deserted them abt 1939); Third wife: Mary Emily (Goodwin) Barnes, of Fairbank, PA (her obituary list William Barnes as husband & says stepson is William (Joseph) Barnes.) Elliott & this wife lived together in California several years, then went to Pennsylvania.; Elliott is buried with 4th relationship Mary E (Gaffey) Barnes b 25 May 1913 d. 7 Dec 1991 (never married), Mary Gaffey has sons David Gaffey Sr (Elliott's stepson) and William Joseph "Billy" Barnes (biological son)(location unknown ??? ).
