Vura Fay Epps,91,a former resident of Benton,died at the Carlineville,Ill,Hospital on Monday,Sept.19 at 6:40 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Poulson Funeral Home in Benton with the Rev.Lloyd Lasley officiating.Visitation will be on Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home and burial will be in the Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery. Mrs.Epps was born on April 26,1897 in Benton, the daughter of Colfax and Rosanna Virginia Sanders Durham. She was married to Tandy Epps who died in 1953. she was of the Baptist faith.She is survived by one daughter,Virginia Holman of Gillespie,Ill, four grand-children and nine great-grandchildren.
