Ella is the youngest child born to Barker and Lydia (Mitchell) Walker. She grew up and attended school in the town of Wilton, Maine. After she completed her schooling Ella appears to have been employed as a Tailor, according the the 1870 United States Census.
Ella had married Richard W Abbott, a widowed Civil War veteran on 4th July 1875 in Farmington, Franklin, Maine. Richard and Ella had 4 children together: Frank Scott, Ellen Lydia, Della Ann and Harold "Harry" Richard Abbott.
Ella and Richard moved to Minnesota in the early 1880's because they had received a homestead in Minnesota due to Richard service in the Civil War.
Her death record and obituary state her death date as the 24th of April. While the grave stone lists the 25th.
She is buried alongside her husband Richard.
