Sula was born in Monroe County in 1870 as the last child of William Davis Moore and Amanda (Mandy) Susan Pierce. She married William (Bill) Alexander Reedy about 1887 at age 17 and had eight children with Bill; 3 lived to adulthood, two others are identified by family Bible as Lunan Clifton & William Francis Reedy. She kept house raising the children while Bill was a farmer. They moved to Tupelo, MS area about 1910 and they lived here the rest of their lives running a boarding house. After Bill died in 1939, Sula then moved in with her son Newsom and his family and stayed with them until she died in January 1942. My mother said when she spoke you had better listen as she ruled the roost! Mom recalls her death as she was almost eight years old at the time. Sula was left overnight at Newsom home and my mother recalls being scared to death with her dead grandmother in the next room! She was laid to rest with Bill two days after her death. She was survived by her three sons, Newsom, Sam & Joe; 12 grandchildren & 3 great-grandchildren.

There is some confusion of spelling of middle name "Zenona or Zenora". My aunt who has good knowledge of the family insist it is Zenona. A recent (7/2013) found copy of page of Reedy Family Bible confirms the spelling of Zenona.
